We are proud to announce the launch of our Trades by Tony – A Scholarship Fund to support individuals pursuing careers in the HVAC-R trade. Our goal is to empower the next generation of skilled workers by providing financial assistance and resources to help ease the burden of educational costs. This initiative is our way of giving back to the community and ensuring a bright future for skilled trades professionals. By supporting the growth of trades, we aim to foster long-term job stability, economic growth and innovation within these industries. This year we have the great honor of being supported by and accepting a generous donation from our partners at Carrier Enterprise CE. A Legacy of Integrity: The Founding of Hellas Air Temp

Hellas Air Temp was founded in 1978 by Athanasios (Tony) Bletsas, Hristoforos (Chris) Bletsas and Dimitrios Bletsas. From the very beginning, their dedication to their craft, commitment to outstanding service and relentless pursuit of excellence established the foundation for a company built to last. In the face of great personal loss — losing both his brother and father — Tony remained steadfast, serving as a pillar for his family, employees and the community over the decades. Tony’s leadership is an integral part of our story and continues to shape Hellas Air Temp. His quiet strength, selflessness and genuine empathy for those around him continue to inspire everyone at Hellas Air Temp to be better and do better. He remains deeply committed to the values of integrity, authenticity and quality work as he ushers in the next generation. These principles are the heart of our company’s culture, and they guide every decision we make including this one to start a scholarship fund.

  • There has been a concerning decline in the pursuit of skilled trades and the effects are being felt across industries. Contributing factors include generational shifts, misconceptions about the value of trade professions, a lack of awareness about career opportunities, and the rising cost of education. At Hellas Air Temp, we believe that skilled trades are vital to our economy and daily lives. Skilled trades are the backbone of our economy, critical to the functionality of homes, businesses and industries alike. A career in the trades offers job stability, high earning potential, diverse specializations, entrepreneurial opportunities and short, doable training periods However, access to these benefits requires an investment in training, and unfortunately, the cost of education often causes hesitation. At Hellas Air Temp, we understand this barrier, and we’re committed to helping bridge the gap.
